Magpie · Calendar Available now

One of you is free. That's not the same as somebody being able to go.

Calendar reads the coming week against the rules your household actually runs on (who actually does hockey, who can cover a Thursday, what has to happen before six) and on Sunday evening tells you which days don't work, while there's still time to move something.

Only Sam does hockey

Every calendar in the house calls this Tuesday clear, because one parent is free at 5:45. Only Magpie knows that Priya has never driven to hockey. The rink, the gear and the carpool chain are all Sam's. Free isn't the same as able to go.

What arrives Sunday evening
Week of March 2
Doesn't work Thursday
Flight lands 5:40. Soccer ends 6:30 across town.
The dog's been alone since 8am.
Nobody's covering pickup. You need a plan.
Tight Tuesday
Hockey's at 5:45. Sam's on a client call until 6:30.
Priya's free, but she's never driven to hockey.
Does Sam move the call, or does Priya go?
Can't tell Wednesday
Looks clear, but I can't see one work calendar.
Mon, Fri and the weekend look clear.
How Calendar works
First

You just tell it

No setup wizard, no forms. You talk (who's in the house, who can do a pickup, what time somebody has to be home) and it writes everything down on a page you can open and edit yourself.

Then

It walks the week

It reads your family calendar hour by hour: where everyone needs to be, who's driving, and how long it really takes to get there.

Every Sunday

It tells you what breaks

Not a list of your events. You've already got that. Just the days that don't work, why, and what each one needs you to decide.

Say it, or write it yourself
Got it

Tuesdays are free from 5:30 again, so I took it off your rhythm page.

Heard in ·soccer’s done for the season
… and here's that page
ALWAYS Somebody's home by six.
DRIVE School run is 25 minutes, not the 12 the map says.
WHO Either of us can do pickup. Only Sam drives to hockey.
IF WE CAN Sunday mornings stay ours.

Everything Magpie knows about your household is one plain page. Change it in conversation, or open it and edit the line yourself. There's no hidden version.

What Calendar doesn't do.

It doesn't move anything. It reports; you decide.
It doesn't add events to your calendar, or write to it at all.
It doesn't infer a rule from a pattern. If it hasn't been told, it asks.
It doesn't pretend to see a calendar it can't see. It names the blind spot.
Early access

Get your Sundays back.

We're opening Magpie to a few households at a time, so each one gets set up properly. The first conversation matters more than the software does.

No form, no card. We'll write back with a date.
